Tables are booked by phone

There is no form on this page. The kitchen phone is answered between ten and noon, and that is the only way to get a table.

• When to call

  Mornings, between 10 and 12. Nobody picks up during service — we are in the other room.

• How many

  Up to six without notice. Seven or more needs a day’s warning, because the catch has to be divided and six portions of any one thing is rare.

• If the catch changes

  Between the call and the evening a dish can run out. If you are booking for one dish in particular, say so on the phone and we will put it aside. That is the only way to be certain.

• Allergies

  Tell us when you call, not when you sit down. Half the card is fish and the other half shares the same kitchen.
